One of Australia's largest financial institutions has launched a new advertising campaign in a bid to attract more customers.

Commonwealth Bank's new campaign displays the companies stance to give customers a more personalised service and demonstrates a range of new products that have been recently launched by the company.

Under the slogan 'Determined to be Different', the bank aims to cement itself as one of the four biggest financial institutions in Australia and set itself apart from rivals ANZ, National Australia Bank and Westpac.

Barbara Chapman, Commonwealth Bank group executive, said that the bank will be "judged" by consumers in a rapidly changing banking sector.

"The bank has been changing internally to live up to our vision of excelling in customer service and this has been evidenced in the improvements in our customer satisfaction ratings.

"We believe that now is the right time to let our customers know that we are changing."

Ms Chapman added: "This promise to our customers sets the standard we will be judged by. It's a commitment to be innovative in our products and our service, today and tomorrow."

In related news, Commonwealth Bank's insurance group CommInsure has announced that it has helped over 1,700 Australians be reunited with lost money from superannuation funds.

Over $2.5 million has been found in lost or forgotten fund accounts across Australia after super provider SuperTrace Eligible Rollover went into administration.

CommInsure's Clive Levinthal said the largest account now successfully reunited with its owner has been $140,000.

"This customer has been a member of the SuperTrace Eligible Rollover Fund for ten years and didn’t know he had $140,000 in this fund."
